not quite worthy of the worst jesus junk of the month award

So, the design and the marketing copy on this little USB bible are worthy of the worst jesus junk of the month award. but i can’t quite bestow the award, because — i am forced to admit — there is something almost cool about this. just wish they had it in a TNIV and Message!

I am strangely drawn and attracted to this product. It is so tacky, yet I keep thinking I want to buy it.

Man it’s tacky, but if it was less gawdy golden looking and came in a different translation I think I would get it. It seems like the most practical Jesus junk yet!

I have to admit, I find something incredibly amusing about having the oldest (still widely used) translation on the latest technology! If it was NIV, CEV, Message, NKJV or something similar, I would be sorely tempted! : )

Which I had seen this kitsch before I created my own a little compendium of Jesus Junk on my blog.
