Suppose it might help in building a particular clientele base.

Ouchy!

marko December 1, 2005 at 12:50 am

sure, jeff — difference being that gaylord focker is fictional, and this one is, well, REAL!

Kyle December 1, 2005 at 1:37 am

why is it that everything I read in her bio sounded sexual?

Jonathon Norman December 1, 2005 at 1:47 am

and she didn’t even have to use the “your porn name” generator to get that cool name. i’m jealous.

I don’t get it Marko…could you explain, in detail, why her name is funny?

(psst…hey lighthouse trails…come here a second…)

yeah… well… for nine years, i was the youth director in a church who’s head usher was named Richard Holder and he didnt go by Richard (rather by “Dick”).

Try doing ministry in a church where THAT is on the bulletin each Sunday morning.

If I had a nickel for every time that name was circled and passed down the row, every youth room in the nation would have a jumbotron.

You know there is a legal means by which to change your name. Think we whould tell her?

I laughed outloud on this one. There was a lady from our last church named Terri Yockey.

Danny December 1, 2005 at 10:25 am

It gets even worse whrn you add her name to the company that she works for. Also Jef, Gaylord didn’t go by his first name but this lady seems to wear hers like it is a badge of honor.

Here are some people I’ve encountered in my life. I feel sorry for them.

Harry Pitts – He’s a pastor in the Indianapolis area …I know his Youth Pastor.
Glenn Gay (We called him Ben).

And of course a church elder (Who I had on my resume and was wondering why I didn’t get many calls or interviews ..and now that I think of it ..) in Northern Virginia … named Harry Butts.

When I was in Jr. High, our guidance counselor’s name was Harry Richard Biter, and yeah, you can figure out the obvious jokes.

Poor guy.

marko December 1, 2005 at 12:27 pm

i didn’t think of this when i posted this, but can you imagine having her sell your house, meaning that her name would be on top of a sign in your front lawn?

Andy December 1, 2005 at 12:27 pm

Where I grew up, there was a pastor who’s name was Richard Rash. Yea, he went by Dick. There always seemed to be an announcement each year at campmeeting, ‘be sure you stop Dick Rash on the campground’!

David December 1, 2005 at 2:10 pm

There’s a famous psychologist with the same last name and it’s pronounced HORN-eye rather than HORN-ee. I don’t suppose that would matter to jr. high students =Þ

Jon Knapp December 1, 2005 at 3:04 pm

There is a pastor in our area whose name is James Boehner. I have always wondered how he pronounced his last name.

bobbie December 1, 2005 at 5:10 pm

i see she’s fluent in sign language – people can even mock her with hand gestures… do you think that’s her maiden name, or did she WILLINGLY marry mr. horney??

Bethany Boring December 1, 2005 at 5:21 pm

When I married my husband, my last name changed too…you think she got married into that name? After all, guys do cause most of the problems ya know…

Abby December 2, 2005 at 12:41 am

YIKES!!! Only two possibilities:
1. She did have to suffer through junior high, high school and college. (Let’s face it folks.. kids in high school and college can be just a bad a junior highers, sometimes worse)
OR
2. Being in real estate and knowing that in order for herself to be successful, especially in D.C., she needed a name that will catch the eye! Boy, does this one fit the bill!
No matter what, the name has not stung her that bad selling anywhere from $6 – $11 million a year! That’s not bad take home pay for a name like that!

Peter December 3, 2005 at 11:29 am

Just how did you come across that…..thats the real question. :)
