According to the author in the traditional story of St. Nicholas there is an image of the gospel.  It was actually such a great article that my wife and I are sending it out as our Xmas card.

But yes, the American, commercialized, &#039;rewards/punishment for good/bad behavior,&#039; Santa is much further from the purposes of the Gospel</description>
