you are the salt of the earth. but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltness be restored? by “saltness” i mean the thing that makes it salty. whatever essential quality makes it salt. that is what i mean by “saltness.” where was i?

this bread is like me, but not like me. you know what i mean. same goes for the wine.

you are the light of the world. a city set on a hill cannot be hid. you’re like a house on fire. you’re burning up. look at you go!
