here’s a bit of commentary, and here’s the map. interesting. i agree with the commentary that the legendary “bible belt” seems to be flipped, vertically, north/south from texas up to north dakota.

I always thought the Bible Belt went Texas to the Carolinas, but my wife (who’s from Illinois, and knows more about this than I do from Washington State) says it’s always been a north-south thing. Okay, if you say so, honey.
