frickin’ awesome weekend

January 18, 2008 · 7 comments

this morning, jeannie and i got to go an early screening of the soon-to-be-released U2 3D movie (review saturday morning).

tonite, tony jones and his son tanner come into town for a dad/son weekend, but they’re staying with us.

tomorrow, i get to sleep in.

tomorrow night, tony and i and ours sons are going to “monster jam” (the monster truck thing). something funny about the emergent village national coordinator and the president of ys going to a monster truck rally, isn’t there?

sunday, church.

then, we’re having a wad of peeps over to watch the san diego chargers kick some new england butt on my newly-high-def 60″ tv.

THAT’s a weekend.

I’ll be praying for you that you weekend isn’t completely ruined Sunday afternoon when NE trounces on LT and the chargers.
savor the memories of the REST of the weekend…

You see, I’m kind of torn on the NE/SD game. As much as I would love to see a rematch of Super Bowl XXXI, I would also like to see New England cut down to size. But for now, I’m just looking forward to tomorrow. Still wish we could have had the Cowpokes in Green Bay for the championship.

have fun this weekend, but you might have to wait a couple of years before the pats lose again. ;-)

Marko, are you planning on falling asleep in front of the TV on Sunday? Because you said something about the Chargers beating the Patriots. That can only happen in your dreams.

so, again I say, I’m praying for you and the great disappointment that you are dealing with right now via SD’s loss against the Pats. I hope the rest of your weekend was better for you than todays game…
