I saw the deep fried one in New Jersey on Food Network the other night. You actually have to sign a waiver if you want to eat the really burnt one. I’ve wanted to buy a deep fryer ever since.
I’m gonna make some myself for the me and the kiddies for lunch.
I use to live 2 miles from http://SuperDuperWeenie.com and it is the best hot dog joint ever and it had 7-9 of the regional dogs. Great stop if you are on I-95 going from NYC to Boston.
We used to go to Rutt’s Hut all the time for deep fried dogs. I’ve actually seen someone order the cremator, which isn’t just “well done” like they say, it’s pretty much black inside and out. The Ripper is possibly the best hot dog I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten a lot of dogs.
