I have found all three of his novels to be good recs for kids, depending on maturity level. He writes the kind of books that ask questions but don't give easy answers, and he does a great job of putting into words the kind of crazy emotions that teenagers (and adults) go through. Thanks for the book reviews! I love to read also and try to keep up with a lot of the new teen fiction out there (that started when I found I had some real bookworm kids in my youth group). I read Unwind when one of my youth recommended it and wanted to like it a lot more than I did. The concept was great but the actual writing... well, coulda been better. Another great teen read was "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins (she has a sequel out now, too). Have you read those? They present another interesting take on a possible future. I enjoyed that one a lot more. As someone who definitely knows what it's like to feel tossed by the wind lately, keep on going. You helped me through a very difficult time a few years ago with your kind emails when I was struggling , and now I'm praying for you in your time.
