HA. I’ve heard this a bunch of times but I always laugh. I’m pretty sure it was used as a Jack Handy quote on SNL back in the day.

i have all the deep thoughts books (i think there are four of ‘em), and i don’t remember this one being in there. but i agree, it sure sounds like jack handy!

That one is my favorite! Close second: You should always carry two sacks of groceries around with you. Then, when someone asks for your help, you can say, “Sorry, got these sacks.”
