this is what i saw, most of the afternoon yesterday. liesl had a dance competition, and max and i were planning on showing up just in time for her bit. but she called and said they were running 90 minutes ahead of schedule; so we busted a move to get over to the competition. nope. turned out her group went on a few minutes later than originally expected. max and i slouched in our seats and watch 3-minute act after 3-minute act, saw tens of thousands of dollars of glittery costumes, and waited. i took these blurry pics (blurry because me camera phone sucks, and because this is really how it looked to us!), because the only thing that kept me going was thinking about posting this.
of course, liesl did great and was very fun to watch. it was just all those OTHER girls…
This post brought back memories of when my daughter was in a cheerleading competition and we sat at the bayfront center and watched 7 and 1/2 hours of teams cheering, just so we could see my daughters team perform for 3 minutes (plus they were held to perform again because they were so good). Seven hours of Cheers with no list of who would perform when … brutal. They did vcome in first place though which was nice.
