8 out of 12 weeks down. 4 to go.
and i’m doin’ well. as i’m typing, i haven’t seen the week 8 rankings yet, but i expect i’ll likely hold onto my #2 position, because — in spite of the deaded treadmill incident, and the subsequent knee pain that has curtailed my work-outs a bit — i lost 6.5 pounds this week (ugh — i’m in a hotel as a write this, and someone in a room nearby has REALLY yummy smelling food!).
here are my stats:
starting weight = 250.2
weight loss this past week = 6.5
current weight = 203.5
total weight loss so far = 46.7
belt holes tightened = 4! (i had to go one more this week, to the final hole. a bit more weight loss and i’ll have to buy a new belt.)
when i started this competition, i wrote:
i’d like to lose at least 30 pounds in the 12 weeks, but 40 would be great.
at some point, i adjusted that to:
well, since i’m reaching 40, it would be great to lose 50. i don’t think 60 is possible.
now i’m thinkin’:
well, shoot — i have 4 weeks left, and i’m really close to 50. it would be a shame if i can’t reach 60!
i haven’t seen a weight with a “1” on the front end of it in many, many years. i’m hoping i will this week.
