monday morning update, on tuesday, sept 2, 2008

the weekend that was: i’ve posted about the move plenty — but that was our weekend. we did enjoy having a couple families over for a bbq last night.

where i am at the moment: beeeautiful el cajon, california. this is my only day in the office this week.

on my to-do list this week: i’ll be in argentina most of the week, but today is a cram day: 5 or 6 appointments, prep a seminar and general session for the argentina convention, see if i can get my 290 emails in my inbox down to 100 or so. oh, i have to rewrite the opening session for CORE 09 this week also.

moving update: i think this will be my last “moving update”, since it’s all over now ‘cept the unpacking. lots has been accomplished already. the kitchen is basically done. but we still have stacks of boxes here and there.

procrastinating about: i’ve been so focused on moving for the last 7 days, that i’m a bit clueless about what’s on my plate; so i’m not sure what i might be procrastinating about!

book i’m in the midst of: again this week, didn’t read a single word! that will change this week, since i’m traveling.

music that seemed to catch my attention this past week: haven’t had much music on this week — but i woke up crazy early this morning (3am), and couldn’t get back to sleep, so it’s 4am now, and i’m at the office, cranking flobots.

next trip: tomorrow, to argentina. i fly to washington dulles, then overnight to buenos aires, then on to mendoza. next monday morning, i fly back to buenos aires for 24 hours, then come home overnight tuesday night (arriving wednesday).

how i’m feeling about this week: excited about the convention, and seeing so many of my latin friends.

  1. I was awake at 4am too (but a different time zone, of course) and the thought to go to work didn’t even cross my mind. My dad does that all the time, though, since he owns his business.

  2. check out E for Explosion if you’re looking for a band. The singer is the singer of Jamison Parker, and it’s a great new band. (however, they’re not Christians as far as I know, but from what I’ve read, you don’t seem to limit yourself to that) I was just now listening to them, and thought I’d pass that along.

  3. Marko- Thanks for answering my e-mail in the midst of such a busy time. Have a great time in Argentina. Wish I had some suggestions for you to read but I’m in a bit of a reading dry spell right now too.
