movie quote

i love this idea from my friend (and ys author) steve case…

Case’s Question of No Particular Significance

What is your favorite ONE WORD movie line?

Example: William Shatner in Star Treck: The Wrath of Kahn.

Gary Oldman in The Professional:
(my personal favorite one-word movie line)

Gary the crooked cop says: EV-RY-ONE!!!

i know it´s a bit ¨just last year¨, but i´m gonna have to say mine would be ¨lucky!¨, from napoleon dynamite.

if i could choose two words, i´d choose robert de niro´s line from midnight run (to charles grodin), ¨i´ve got two words for you, ´shut the f*** up´¨. not really two words — but he calls it two words, which makes it one of the best two-words in a movie.

your opinion¿ (um, i´m in argentina, and can only find the upside-down question mark on this keyboard!)

  1. I think mine would have to come from Dumb and Dumber.
When Llyod says to Mental (the hitman guy) “wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world?”

And MY FAVORITE ONE WORD LINE (actually it’s an onomatopoeia)

  2. From Rudy:

    “Rudy …” (The chants continue)

    From Miracle on Ice: “GOAL”

    From Field of Dreams “Dad?”

From Hoosiers [Strap is continuing his prayer as the team gets ready to leave the locker room]
    Coach Norman Dale: Strap?

Major League: (2 words): Wild Thing

A League of Their Own: (I know more than 2 or one words but great movie)

Dottie Hinson: It just got too hard.
Jimmy Dugan: It’s supposed to be hard. If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. The hard… is what makes it great.

  3. Potter: Yeah, lot of pressure. You gotta rise above it. You gotta harness in the good energy, block out the bad. Harness energy, block bad. Feel the flow, Happy. Feel it. It’s circular. It’s like a carousel. You pay the quarter, you get on the horse. It goes up and down and around. Circular. Circle. With the music. The flow… all good things.
Happy: Yeah, alright! Well great… nice to meet ya man. Psycho.

  4. “Groovy” – Army of Darkness
    “Freedom” – Braveheart
    “Plastics” – The Graduate

    See…ONE WORD…it ain’t rocket science, people.

every scream queen right before getting killed by the psycho (not sure of the exact spelling)
