i haven’t read this article on cnn.com, and it might be brilliant; but can i just say that the home page article description for this headline made me say, “really? no duh!”

  1. I read an article today about some dumb girl auctioning off her viginity.
Reading this article and the one I mentioned, I think some of us should auction off our intelligence or maybe common sense or maybe a swift kick in the butt for being dumb.

  2. I, too, saw this headline on cnn.com and the first thing out of my mouth was “no sh*#”. I wish someone would pay be big bucks to do studies that confirm the obvious.

  3. This just in – the pope’s a catholic. And you’re not going to believe the stories we’re getting on bear activity in the woods…

  4. “For CNN, this is John Obvious reporting.”

Welcome to the 21st Century. It’s not just about soundbites anymore, and how we can shorten stories to get more in. Now it’s just give the story in headlines. And obvious ones at that.

They paid someone big money to write that headline too I bet.
