.

and reniors

we tried to get to the east wing where all the modern stuff is kept – but it was closing in 20 minutes, so we’re going back tomorrow morning before we leave town.

.

then we cabbed over to stare in awe at the thomas jefferson memorial:

posed like mannequins at the FDR (roosevelt) memorial:

passed through the ww1 memorial and the korean war memorial, then stopped by to see mr. lincoln:

stopped at the vietnam memorial, then fed the duck at the ww2 memorial:

somewhere during the day i checked my email, and had an email from ysmarko blog reader named paul who said, “you don’t know me, but i see you’re in dc. i work in the white house — would you and your family like a tour of the west wing?” so, several emails back and forth, and tonite we’re headed off for our private tour of the white house. how cool is that! all my blogging finally pays off, baby!!!

  1. Wow…that is the ultimate in blogging hook-ups! I can’t wait to hear about the tour…well, the parts that aren’t classified.
