watch what happens when a guy tries to offer people free hugs. it’s a slow build, then goes viral. could be an interesting discussion-starter on our need for connection and relationship — part of our god-given design, part of the story of creation.

This is a terrific thing! Have you checked out some of the other stuff? This guy has even been on Oprah! (is that a good thing or not… not sure). Anyway, the free hugs campaign is now global check out http://www.myspace.com/freehugscampaign
Crazy stuff. Where do you find this stuff?
randy — no real science to it. people send me stuff. i keep my eyes open. i find stuff on other blogs. this one i found on a site that shows popular viral videos: viralvideo.com
I saw this video awhile back on YouTube. It’s an awesome concept. I want to do it in my hometown. It’s such a simple concept, but that little bit of love, I think, can be enough to change an entire city.
At the 2:27 mark, is it just me or does that look a lot like Heather Flies? He doesn’t seem to be squeezed hard enough for it to be her though =)
I cried…so touching how we can spread God’s love by doing simple acts. Thank you for sharing!
This is great. Sure to get the emotions going.
I’d love to use this with my youth. NE1 know how I could get this in MPEG or Quick Time or something other than FLV?
howie — i don’t know what they are, but i know there are various freeware that will enable you to grab a video off of youtube. search for that.

That felt soooooo good! Thanks for sharing this one Galba!
HUGS are great…..
We should all try it. I am going to try it. I have long wanted to do so.
I think it is beautiful and it show that it takes only one person to make the world a better place… I love it thank you for sharing this moment with me and my family… Let us continue to share love peace and joy to all mankind.
This is marvellous! My blood felt extremely warm when I saw the poster. I watched with intrigue and anticipation for the first person to accept the simple but genuine offer.I thought as much it would have been an elder and a female who would start the ball rolling. Each hug there after I watched and increased the width of my smile I know that true LOVE is within each of us but it needs to be re-ignited and Juan did it. Congrats!!!!!!!! We truly need to be reconnected. Our lives are to bugged-down with the complex issues of moderisation. We need to free ourselves- by hugging, holding hands, smiling, etc. and in so doing release the positive vibrations which are embedded in all of us.We have become selfish mortal beings and that is the self destructive element of this modern people. Thanks for the opportunity to express my thoughts.
laugh ,laugh, That is just lovely
Touching hearts and sprit is everything.
Thank you Galba
one Love

Great video , it can be so simply to heal the world if we all just unite . give a hug . helsomone instead of tearing them down . war is not the answer.
Amazing how much we yearn for love! Amazing what a hug can do for our emotional wellbeing. The video made my day!
Such a nice thing to do, it brought tears to my eyes.
