in a few minutes i’m driving home to pick up my kids, and we’re driving up to anaheim, where i’m speaking at a JH event for the Lutheran churches of SoCal. 450 kids coming — should be a good time. plus, we get to go to disneyland!
come home sunday night, leave monday morning for grand rapids, michigan. i’ll be with our partners at zondervan; and on wednesday morning, i’m speaking to their entire staff, as well as their sales staff who are in town for sales conference.
wednesday later morning, zip down to nashvegas for the freak show also known as the national youth workers convention. about 9000 people: 7500 attendees, 1200 exhibitors, 300-ish staff, volunteers and speakers. back home the tuesday before thanksgiving.

I am glad to see that you are a man that comments on his own blog. I wish I could go to a YS conferance but since working in nonprofit innercity youth programs I have a different focus and my expenses are not covered. I will be sending you guys some prayers. I am packing my bags for Tinidad for a retreat with kids from Jamacia, Trindad, and Tabago. It sould be amazing to emerge with these cultures. I hope to come back with dreadlocks….Keep it real brother. Also, bring YS to Houston…..
