greg fields of the christian camp and conference association will be hosting an hour-long teleconference with me and dr. kara powell, on Tuesday, March 31 (a week from today). the subject is “programming and spiritual formation”. i have no idea what we’ll actually say; but i know kara and greg well enough to expect that it will be a good conversation. it’s free for CCCA members, and $9.99 for anyone else.

Join 3CA’s Director of Education and Field Services Greg Fields as he hosts an open dialogue with youth ministry experts Mark Oestreicher and Kara Powell, Ph.D., from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31 (MT). They’ll offer their insights about “Programming and Spiritual Formation” in a free 3CA teleconference for members (and just $9.99 for non-members), helping you design programs and experiences that lead to true spiritual growth. (Note that long-distance charges will apply.) We recommend this live event, part of the 3CA webinar/teleconference series, for program directors and staff, executive directors, and any other interested camp and conference leaders. Twenty people who participate in the teleconference will receive a book written by one of the presenters—Youth Ministry 3.0: A Manifesto of Where We’ve Been, Where We Are, and Where We Need to Go by Mark Oestreicher or Deep Justice in a Broken World: Helping Your Kids Serve Others and Right the Wrongs around Them by Kara Powell. Oestreicher is the president of Youth Specialties, and the author of numerous books for youth ministry. Powell, an author, speaker, and 20-year youth ministry veteran, is the executive director of the Fuller Youth Institute (FYI) and a faculty member at Fuller Theological Seminary.
