the tag line on this word game is very accurate: it’s face-paced and quickly stressful; and even though one game is quite short, you’ll not be happy with your score, and will find you must play multiple times.
scrabble-like — just type in words using the letters slowly added to your options. add to the multiplier by not typing in words that aren’t in the dictionary. game’s over after the last of 75 tiles is used or slowly melts away. after a few tries, i was getting scores in the upper 300s (like, 375), but my best score was 633. i’m sure some of you can beat me. post your best score.
i like word games. boggle, yup; love it. and i have a little word game on my blackberry (called “bookworm“) that i play all the time.
so i dug this little online game josh treece pointed out: inwordz. click on letters to spell words; but you can only string letters together that are adjoining or diagonal on the same level, or a level deeper toward the center. points for individual letters increase with each added letter.
don’t say i didn’t warn you…
wow — i could play around with this for hours and hours and hours. portions of words appear on the screen, as well as a theme. you click on the word portions, in order, to form words that fit the category. there are various skill level and such to customize it to your preference and ability.
word people will be in heaven.
