this is pretty nifty — like a google earth of the stars. while changing the date and time didn’t make much difference in the view, to my untrained eye, i still thought it was wicked-cool that you can do that.

I was doing a little searching on myspace for a few of my students (its my new google)…but go to search and then enter your full first and last name and see what pops up…you’ll be amazed (Marko, a site pops up when your name is entered as well…I hope this is not you..)
If you like that, you will love Stellarium . It’s a free program similar to Google Earth, where you can move around, zoom in at planets and such…but it runs in real-time, so you can actually see what the stars look like right now.
Plus, you can fast forward or reverse time so that you can actually see the stars move!
